Epic Space Cowboy Ball

INTRODUCTION

“It’s the SXSW of Space”

“It’s the SXSW of Space”

Most space conferences leave you overwhelmed, overloaded, and overlooked.

At other space events, they talk “at” you – at New Worlds, we speak “with” you. We fold you into the conversation and experience. New Worlds was designed not as a conference, rather a slightly counter-culture alternative gathering of the space tribes where Space Entrepreneurs, Frontier Pioneers, Industry Celebrities, and the Space Curious converge for 2 Full Days of Deep Conversations, Intimate Networking, and Epic Experiences.

What you’ll hear in this IMAX theatre will be like experiencing 5 millions lbs. of thrust from a Falcon Heavy

The transformational experiences we have planned for you will make you think and feel like you’ve actually left this planet.

“We go way back” will be something you find yourself saying soon enough about the lifelong connections you’ll build here.

SPACERS, UNITE

Attend this alternative space event
And Join The Conversation!

Join The Conversation, With A Side Of Revolution!

New Worlds is uniting hundreds of spacers, visionary entrepreneurs, influential billionaires, pioneering tech developers, forward-thinking policymakers, agencies, private sector organizations, domain thought leaders, and top-tiered media and inviting them to go to the edge–and beyond. Together, we aim to share and showcase the latest in space, science, technology, and the arts–all under one roof. This is an event where you can let your hair down, relax, and get inspired by new ideas, insights, and ideologies you won’t experience anywhere else.

Star-Power Draw: Previous years have been attended by many celebrities, venture capitalist firms, and pioneering brands.

Engaging Programming: Powerful conversations, first-of-its-kind keynotes and thrilling entertainment. It's visionary thinking meets ground-based action.

Astronaut Interactions: Hear about their experiences in space. Last year there were 4 astronauts in attendance. See how many will attend this year!

Elite Networking: Rub elbows with the space field’s biggest luminaries, industry journalists, and investors looking for their next venture, all in an intimate setting.

Space Cowboy Ball: This intergalactic masquerade is a one-of-a-kind blend of awards, live music, entertainment, and a costume dance party–truly a night where imagination knows no bounds.

“Reality is becoming closer than what science fiction predicted; we imagined what a future of space would look like, and now it’s time for you to … MAKE IT SO.”

“Reality is becoming closer than what science fiction predicted; we imagined what a future of space would look like, and now it’s time for you to … MAKE IT SO.”

2:00 PM Enterprise Update - A report on a stealth plan to re-create a space lobby and PAC

In the 1990s, there was a "space movement," including lobbies and PACs. It is no coincidence this was when the groundwork for government support of commercial space started. Then, the billionaires showed up, and many activists thought the job was done. It wasn't. Mike discusses the need to form the next generation of these critical tools.

Michael Mealling - Partner, Starbridge VC

2:15 PM The Space Settlement Act - Why we need a national policy telling NASA to help us

In 1988, for just a few years, it was the law of the land that the human spaceflight program was to support "space settlement." A few years later the law was killed. Now more than ever, the US needs this "North Star" to enable support for us to open the High Frontier. Space policy experts discuss just how to make it happen.

Leah Cheli Doolittle - Executive Director, EarthLight Foundation

Michael Mealing - Partner, StarBridge VC

Barbara Belvisi

3:30 PM Artemis for the Rest of US - Time to re-imagine our goals on the Moon - and who’s on the team?

We see China moving on large-scale lunar industrial development. Yet, for Artemis, Congress has tasked NASA to repeat Apollo - but leave a Moon cabin to be visited by astronauts. How can we harness Artemis to support a vibrant and growing U.S. lunar economy and community - even as NASA practices for Mars? How do we transform the agency to see citizen participation as a goal rather than a nuisance?

Pablo Moncada-Larrotiz - Founder, MoonDAO

Dr. David Alexander

4:15 PM Fireside Chat - AI and Our Future in Space - A leader of responsible AI talks space. (Is he real?)

AI, it’ll kill us all or make our lives better, depending on who you talk to. Facing the vast distances and complex life-support systems needed in space AI will be a critical technology. As the inspiration behind the “AI Declaration,” Bryan is uniquely positioned to discuss this new human-AI partnership on the Frontier.

Bryan Talebi - Co-Founder Ahura AI

4:45 PM – STAR Talk - The Future of Interplanetary Contact

The SETI Institute has over 100 scientists searching for life beyond earth as well as studying life here on earth with a primary mission to answer the BIG question, “Are we alone in the Universe?” As the idea of meeting an alien race from another star system continues to capture our imaginations, Ravé Mehta will discuss the current state of “The Search”, and explore the next BIG question, “What happens after we make first contact?”

We Top Off New Worlds With an Epic Celebration of opening up the high frontier

What would you wear to a party on Mars in 100 years?

That’s the question, and the theme, for The Space Cowboy Ball! Last year, the event was so packed with Star Wars characters, it felt like we’d been transported straight to the Mos Eisley Cantina.

This unforgettable night is part STEAM charity fundraiser, part awards ceremony, part concert—and 100% intergalactic planetary fun, featuring special appearances from celebrities across the realms of space, sci-fi, and Hollywood–Expect plenty of surprises!

This year, we’re honoring a trailblazer who’s ridden beyond the frontier (trust us, you’ll want to meet this surprise guest in person!) and a private company that’s successfully landed on the moon (hint hint). Plus, don’t miss the special Peter Mayhew (aka Chewbacca) Foundation award presentation!

The Space Cowboy Ball is like a speakeasy for space geeks and nerds, so make sure you dress to impress in your finest Martian costume, futuristic space cowboy outfit, or space suit.

Proceeds go towards the DreamScopes project, which aims to provide middle school students with access to telescopes and empower them to explore the universe.

TICKETS SOLD OUT LAST YEAR -- So make sure to grab yours for BOTH New Worlds & The Space Cowboy Ball today!

All SPACE COWBOY BALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE DREAMSCOPES PROJECT

Your Ball Ticket Helps Nurture Tomorrow’s Visionaries

We all have the “Right Stuff,” and that given the Right Dream any kid anywhere can begin their own journey to a great tomorrow of their own creation. They may not all end up as astronauts, or building human communities in space, but some small fraction of them just might.

Meanwhile, by giving them a chance to fly beyond the borders of their lives and see what is out there in the Universe around them at a critical age, we believe many more will choose to study, learn, and engage in acquiring STEAM skills – helpful no matter what dream they decide to pursue.

For example, our Project: DreamScopes aims to spark wonder, hope, and aspiration in the mind's eye of the future by putting a telescope and associated curriculum in every Middle School that wants one. It is a bold goal and one you are part of when you support our program.

OUR POLICIES

Infinite Diversity - Infinite Combinations

A Statement by the EarthLight Foundation: EarthLighters take the immovable and immutable stand that ALL human beings are one species and one family, indistinguishable from one another in terms of value, potential, and rights. We celebrate those differences, variations, and choices each of us makes that lead to our uniqueness within this great family. In perspective, we are

one crew on one tiny spaceship floating in the sea of space and therefore MUST offer each other the respect and love of being one family. Further, should we as the family of humanity ever encounter other beings who also inhabit our shared Universe, we shall offer them the same respect and honor we show one another. This is sacrosanct to us, and nothing less shall be tolerated in our interactions with one another, our friends, guests, and any who join us in our events, activities, actions, and celebrations.

Earth and the Environment

As above, EarthLight itself stands for a new and dramatically increased awareness of, and change in, how we understand and care for our MotherWorld. It is central to us that life is to be treasured, no matter where we find it, and that as the stewards of this tiny bubble, it is our job to utilize our knowledge and space technology to both help heal her, even as we carry her seeds to worlds now dead.

So say we All.
